Vice President of Preconstruction
A New Orleans native, Ed has been involved with the local construction industry since high school. He studied Construction Management at LSU, graduating in 2009, and began his career as an estimator with a local commercial contractor. Following the catastrophic fallout of Hurricane Katrina, Ed joined forces with a business partner to meet the overwhelming local demand for shoring and foundation rehab services. In 2013, Ed and Jason kicked off JET, which has grown exponentially through present day. Today, alongside real estate investments in New Orleans and Mississippi, Ed issues pricing for all JET's contract work, negotiates terms and value engineering issues with clients, and oversees the internal operations of JET.
Vice President of Operations
Jason Rodgers has been exposed to the construction industry for almost his entire life as a second generation construction company owner, following in his father’s footsteps as construction entrepreneur in the New Orleans market since the 1970’s. Jason has worked in the construction industry since 1994 and earned a degree in Construction Management from LSU in 2003. He spent two years working in Industrial Construction following his graduation from LSU before moving into commercial construction in 2005. He has held all roles during his time in construction, starting in the field as a laborer, carpenter, foreman, and quality control inspector. Jason then transitioned into the office as an assistant project manager, project manager, senior project manager and vice president/owner. Today, he focuses on the construction duties of JET Concrete, including contract management, change orders, accounting aspects, and managing all field operations.
Jim’s construction career began in 2000 as a union laborer in Chicago, Illinois. In under a year’s time, Jim was promoted to a company sponsored, journeyman carpenter with the Carpenter’s Union Local 13-Chicago. In his 11 years as Journeyman Carpenter, Jim gained experience in a wide variety of commercial and civil construction projects including bridges, major highways, schools, high-rise buildings, transit systems, religious institutions, and one of the largest wastewater treatment facilities in the US.
Jim completed many projects in the role of crew foreman, but having this title didn’t mean it was time to take the tools off. Ever since the start of his career, Jim has valued a ‘lead-by-example’ philosophy and has taken the time and effort each morning to make effective plans and delegate tasks, contributing to the project’s overall success.
Putting his faith in hard work and integrity as always, Jim moved his family of 5 to New Orleans in 2011 to accept the Superintendent role on a multimillion dollar federal project. Following this, Jim ran numerous jobs as Superintendent including USACE pump station renovations, levee improvements, and multiple school buildings in the New Orleans area.
His upward journey through the trades, earning promotions and positions with increasing levels of responsibility, has landed him at JET Concrete Services as General Superintendent. At JET, Jim’s loyalties are both to the employee and to the company, having had extensive experience working from the lower levels of the trade to his position today. Jim spends his time coordinating job specific work plans, mediating issues between office and field, and analyzing past data to develop and implement processes that bring about productivity and profitability. Jim believes first and foremost in the motto that ‘Quality Pays!’ which he applies to all his interpersonal and technical challenges at work.
Brett Guidry brings 10 years of experience in overseeing all aspects of financial operations. He has extensive expertise in financial reporting, accounting practices, cash management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes, in addition to possessing an in-depth knowledge of internal controls. He ensures that accounting operates at the highest level of compliance and integrity and works efficiently and effectively to support the JET family. Brett holds his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from LSU and Masters in Business Administration from UNO. A lifelong resident of the New Orleans area, he lives in Harahan with his wife Stephanie and daughter Beckett.
After his 2009 graduation from LSU in Construction Management, Jonathan began working as an Assistant Project Manager for a general contractor in Houma, Louisiana, focusing on municipal water and sewer projects. Here he learned the basics of the construction industry and the Louisiana public bid process. He later accepted a position as Quality Administrator onboard a construction vessel for an international oil & gas company, but was soon driven back to inland construction by the irregular schedule and impersonal feel of the business. In 2016, while working as an inspector for a Baton Rouge-based engineering firm, Jonathan connected with JET, where he works today under JET’s VP of Preconstruction, producing quantity takeoffs and securing prices for prospective projects, maintaining the company’s website and document storage processes, and collaborating with co-workers to develop internal systems for improving efficiency.
Safety, Health & Compliance / Logistics Manager
Robert M. Rodgers joined the JET Concrete Services team in 2016. His current duties include Safety and Health Compliance Officer, Material, Tool and Equipment, Tracking and Maintenance Manager, and purchasing and procurement for all projects’ day to day needs.
Robert started his construction career in 1973, and has devoted his entire work life to the construction industry. Over the last forty-four years, he climbed the ladder of laborer, carpenter’s apprentice, journeyman carpenter, master carpenter, carpentry foreman and general superintendent, state licensed carpentry subcontractor, state licensed residential contractor and state licensed building construction contractor.
During thirty-eight of those forty-four years, Robert owned and operated a successful construction corporation, specializing in residential home construction, building construction, and all phases of carpentry construction. In this capacity Robert’s responsibilities included office administration, plan review, quantity take offs and estimating, coordination, scheduling, quality control, field supervision of all ongoing construction projects, and plan and maintain company safety program. Successfully completed projects include hundreds of custom homes, thousands of multifamily units, various restaurants, hotels, medical clinics, churches, office buildings, retail space, residential and commercial remodeling, renovation, fire, flood, and hurricane damage restoration and repair. Robert has always taken pride in a strong work ethic, high integrity, fairness, an impeccable safety record, and one hundred percent customer satisfaction.

Kayla began working for JET in 2016 and fulfills an integral support role in JET's administrative processes including scheduling, payroll, staffing, documentation, and production tracking. Her past experience lies in construction sales and kitchen design, both of which have contributed to the versatile skill set that Kayla brings to JET.
